Africa poised for economic destruction

I recently read that a group of high powered US officials is signaling that Washington wants to turn a controversial programme, giving poor African nations partial access to U.S. markets into a full-fledged free trade agreement, that would open Africa's economy to U.S. corporations.

I instantly reflected on a book thats on the agenda to read, titled Confessions of an Economic Hit Man where it describes how John Perkins a highly respected member of the international banking community, helped the U.S. cheat poor countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars by lending them more money than they could possibly repay and then take over their economies.

In a speech to the forum, the Senegalese minister of foreign affairs, Cheikh Tidiane Gaudio, quoted President Abdoulaye Wade as saying, "Africa is ready for free trade, but we prefer fair trade above all."Read the full Story

The Criteria of a Black Leader

He had hair of lamb’s wool and feet of burnt brass, Jesus the revolutionary. The Bible says he died for your sins, that you may have ever lasting life. Think about it…say you contract AIDS by living a promiscuous life, did Jesus die for that sin or did you?

Jesus was killed, by the rulers of that time, for the truth he spoke. Which gave you life from a mental death that had been imposed upon you by White supremacy. Before He was killed, he said to his followers “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free’.

Well, I can speak from experience on this, because when I came into the true knowledge of self, my rich culture that stemmed from Africa, our language, our culture, our heritage, our religion (way of life) and God, my mind became free from the inferior mind complex that has been imposed upon us by White supremacy. Now I see, and hear things I did not notice before... is this the resurrection of the dead?

Look black people, we have black leaders all over this country, our condition has not been made any better and never will be with a black manager of a white reality. If you don’t play the game… they get rid of you. The question here is… do you really have something when you have a black politician assimilated into a anglo power structure? He has no power - only the power they allow them to have.

If you are a Black leader in this country, and your life is not being threatened – on a daily basis - then you are not effective for the liberation of Black people.

Pod casting vs Blogging

Over the last few weeks I’ve sat back analyzed the bloging world and decided I would focus my attention on Pod casting. Why pod cast?

The trend will soon shift, just like in traditional media. First there was print, then radio, and eventually television. The same will happen in this forum.

Furthermore, commentators from the blogging community will have the opportunity to interact in real time, while reaching a wider audience. Podcast will generate increased recognition and exposure, while providing a platform for thoughtful exchange.

O’s Observations will select thought provoking topics for a conscious audience. My hope is that it will also prove to be a catalyst for real change.

The Power of Unity

When I see the Hispanics come out in Droves to protest the right to live in the land that was once theirs. I see a people that have become a part of this economy taking on jobs that blacks are to proud to do, but the unity of a little becomes a lot so their thriving in America, the other day I was at the store and notice two brand new trucks fully equipped with all the gear occupied by Hispanics, I thought that’s not a bad gig to make 200,000 + a year owning and operating your own lawn care service.

Blacks are Fleeing from New York in Droves

According to the NewYork Times Blacks are leaving the big apple, in a big way. Most blacks are leaving for economic reasons, 7 in 10 black people who are moving, leave the region altogether. That does'nt surprise me, with half of the black males unemployed in NewYork, I would leave!

Another issue is the high cost of living Jacqueline Dowdell moved to North Carolina last year from Hamilton Heights in Upper Manhattan in search of a lower cost of living."It was a difficult decision, but it was a financial decision," said Ms. Dowdell, 39, adding that the move also gave her time to research her family's roots in Virginia.

"I just continued to spend so much money trying to live without thinking about the future," she said. "I was focused on surviving, and I wanted to make a commitment to more quality of life."

Bottom line is, the new internet companies will Focus on providing a service, or aggregating information, while driving large numbers of consumers to access a service, or information for free, creating a large subscriber base. Which gives you power in the internet game. Check out some of the start ups, You can do this with little money, just time and effort. I will do a follow up on this topic.

Farrakhan calls for a new Educational Paradigm

Minister Farrakhan is undisputedly the most powerful black man in this country, and perhaps throughout the world. I don’t know of any other leader who can call for a million men, and nearly two million come out to hear what he has to say, despite how the media tries to ostracize him.

The minister has inspired, and motivated me, and millions of other black men world wide. He is now calling for a new educational paradigm, he recently spoke at the national black people’s unity convention, this is what he had to say.

“The challenge is an education that enlivens us to do business. Business is the activity of life itself. You do not have to teach a worm what to do to survive. Every creature is born with the inherent ability to attract out of this material earth what it needs to perpetuate its species. If we are made in the image and the likeness of God, something is wrong that we do not know how to make something happen for ourselves and if White people do not make it happen for us, we want to picket, lay down, sit in, crawl in and wade in. Fighting to save the Dollar is Iran next Pt 2

Policymakers realized that the Middle East was “a stupendous source of strategic power, and one of the greatest material prizes in world history.

I was born the year President Nixon took office 1969 and that’s when it all began, around or on August 15, 1971, when it ended. Nixon closed the gold window and refused to pay out any of our remaining 280 million ounces of gold. In essence, we declared our insolvency and everyone recognized some other monetary system had to be devised in order to bring stability to the markets.

A new system was devised which allowed the U.S. to operate the printing presses for the world reserve currency with no restraints placed on it– not even a pretense of gold convertibility, none whatsoever! Though the new policy was even more deeply flawed, it nevertheless opened the door for dollar “fraud”to spread.

Further manipulating the “New” system. U.S. authorities, struck an agreement with OPEC to price oil in U.S. dollars exclusively for all worldwide transactions. This gave the dollar a special place among world currencies and in essence “backed” the dollar with oil. In return, the U.S. promised to protect the various oil-rich kingdoms in the Persian Gulf against threat of invasion or domestic coup.

This arrangement helped ignite the radical Islamic movement among those who resented our influence in the region. The arrangement gave the dollar artificial strength, with tremendous financial benefits for the United States. It allowed us to export our monetary inflation by buying oil and other goods at a great discount as dollar influence flourished.

America is not addicted to oil if she is it’s by choice, she could have resorted to other alternatives long ago ,the reason she is obssed with oil because it backs the dollar, therefore any countries that threatens that relationships such as Iraq and Iran will face painful and severe consequences.

Iran plans to switch from the petrodollar over to the euro on March 28, 2006 Which would grossly reduce the value of the dollar. Watch how the media intensify the threat Iran imposses on the US.

My quest to research the Dairy industry started out as a joke suggesting that dairy products are the major cause of obesity in America. What I discovered was far from a joke, but rather a serious matter. Cow’s milk has measurable quantities of blood, pus, feces, bacteria and viruses. I discovered milk really is the leading cause of obesity as well as many other disturbing facts. Before you drink that next glass of milk read this.

America's High tech inivisible Man

You may not have heard of Dr. Mark Dean. And you aren’t alone. But almost everything in your life has been affected by his work.

See, Dr. Mark Dean is a Ph.D. from Stanford University. He is in the National Hall of Inventors. He has more than 30 patents pending.

He is a vice president with IBM. Oh, yeah. And he is also the architect of the modern-day personal computer. Dr. Dean holds three of the original nine patents on the computer that all PCs are based upon. And, Dr. Mark Dean is anAfrican American.

So how is it that we can celebrate the 20th anniversary of the IBM personal computer without reading or hearing a single word about him? Given all of the pressure mass media are under about negative portrayals of African Americans on television and in print, you would think it would be a slam dunk to highlight someone like Dr. Dean.

Dr. Dean helped start a Digital Revolution that created people like Microsoft’s Bill Gates and Dell Computer’s Michael Dell. Millions of jobs in information technology can be traced back directly to Dr. Dean.

I’ve read good reviews about Confederate states of America, Its a what if scenario documentary depicting the south winning the civil War, seen through the Eyes of Film Director Spike Lee. Mike and I will check this out, and update you later…

Update:
Confederate states of America a reality check?

After viewing this film I thought it was pretty good, however on the drive home I realized the movie is tight a must see, a reality check! The America we live in is not far off, if not worse from the depictions of America if the south had won the civil war.

I just want to make a few points without giving away the film. First and foremost the film shows how Corporations used sambo and coon images to promote products. Similar to what we do today as black people, yes us, see they’re so wise and deceptive the powers that be. They have you promoting your own ignorance.

Another interesting point takes place on a commercial that markets shackles an electronic device that your slave would wear so you can monitor there where a bouts, reminds me of the same tracking devices the Department of Corrections have in use for home incarceration.

According to the New York Times most young black men are in the prison system therefore the good old government has no problem keeping a close watch over all their boys’ nation wide. Funny how things change, but remain the same, as Rahelio say’s there is no (zero) degrees of separation between the Right and the White of this country.

Unveiling Seattle's Racist Past

While viewing the Confederate states of America directed by Kevin Willmott. I discovered Seattle was once home of the racist restaurant named Coon Chicken. Currently I reside in the emerald city (Seattle) and decided to take a closer look at the history, wow I discovered everything that glitters is not gold. The picketers in the photo were protesting low wages not the racist iconography.

Seattle has this perception of being this super Liberal state, and from the surface it appears that way. When I moved here the first thing I noticed was the pervasive interracial dating, I had never seen it on this level. The people are friendly the economy is strong, the quality of life is good here.

After a while I began to see the settle racism here which stemmed from its blatant past it’s just watered down, However I’ve had the opportunity to travel around this country extensively and Seattle is one of the best places to live, well you know as black people we have always had to choose between the lesser of two evils.
